What’s new in NAV 2018?
What has actually changed in the 2018 version? There have been a number of exciting improvements and we would like to highlight some of them:
Microsoft Dynamics NAV is now even more mobile
The strong mobile possibilities that were introduced in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 have become even better in NAV 2018. This is due to a new and highly improved web client/universal app, which makes NAV even more independent from the platform. This gives your employees greater freedom in using NAV from any device, wherever and whenever it suits them. In addition, the web client has become even more user-friendly and manageable.
Enhanced user interface
The web client’s user interface is now even more user-friendly and more easily adaptable to your needs. Thus, you can quickly get an overview of graphs, statistics, customers etc. In addition, the user interface for NAV 2018 and Dynamics 365 has been made more uniform.
Even stronger use of artificial intelligence
NAV’s first step towards using artificial intelligence had been taken in Microsoft Dynamics 2017, which provided access to machine learning in connection with sales and stock forecasts. NAV 2018 offers your business even more opportunities to exploit artificial intelligence through so-called cognitive intelligence, which enables NAV to learn, remember, recognize and assess information better.
NAV 2018 is now even closer to Office 365 and Power BI
NAV 2018 interacts now even better with other Microsoft products and provides more opportunities for using NAV features in other applications. You can now, for example, use NAV’s features in Outlook and Power BI. For instance, you can easily and quickly create orders in NAV using Outlook, or view Power BI graphs of customer sales by simply clicking on the customer's master data card in NAV.
Improved reporting possibilities in Microsoft Excel
A number of new reporting templates in Excel help you optimize your reporting processes, e.g. for balance sheets, cash flow statements etc.
New smart task tools improve productivity
The new task tools in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 enable you to increase productivity and progress on tasks and projects. The task tools make it easy for your employees to get an overview of tasks, see the next steps, check which colleagues are responsible for individual parts of a task etc.
